Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent; doctoral candidates also eligible

  • Must have temporary or permanent affiliation with a research institution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in fieldwork, laboratory techniques, or collection-based research
  • Demonstrated ability for interdisciplinary collaboration

Not Eligible:

  • Applicants with permanent residence in Germany, EU countries, North America, Australia
  • Undergraduate students or those with concurrent grants
