About the Position

The Department of Anthropology at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer position to teach ANT312H5F – Archaeological Analysis during the Fall 2025 term. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Completed PhD in Anthropology with specialisation in Archaeology
Demonstrated archaeological laboratory and analytical experience
Prior teaching experience at undergraduate level

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with University of Toronto systems (Quercus, Canvas, Zoom)
Experience supervising TAs and managing practicals
Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver lectures and in-person practicals
Design assessments including assignments, exams, and project work
Supervise and support teaching assistants
Evaluate student work and submit final grades
Hold regular student office hours
Maintain course engagement via academic tools and systems
