About Position/Job

Aarhus University invites applications for a part-time Teaching Associate Professorship (Studielektor) in Classical Archaeology within the School of Culture and Society. The position focuses on teaching courses across the Classical Archaeology and Classical Philology tracks, contributing to both undergraduate and graduate education. Starting 1 January 2026, this permanent, 20-hour per week role encourages innovative, interdisciplinary teaching and engagement with Graeco-Roman antiquity. Applicants will collaborate with colleagues to co-teach courses, supervise students, and actively participate in the department’s academic environment. Danish language proficiency is a priority, and candidates will be expected to complete pedagogical training if not already fulfilled.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supervising BA and MA students
  • Completed pedagogical training for assistant professors (or willingness to complete)
  • Knowledge of Danish and ability to teach in Danish
