About Position/Job
The School of History, Classics and Archaeology at the University of Edinburgh is offering a Teaching and Research Fellowship in Classical Art and Archaeology with a focus on Roman art and archaeology. This 12-month, full-time fellowship begins on 1 January 2026 and provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to both teaching and research within one of the UK’s leading Classics departments. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Classical or Roman art and/or archaeology or a closely related field

- Engagement with interdisciplinary approaches
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching in Classical Art and Archaeology, particularly Roman topics
- Conduct and publish high-quality research
- Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes
- Contribute to the School’s academic community and collaborative projects
