Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- A completed PhD in archaeology or a closely related field.
- A demonstrated commitment to Black identity and heritage in the context of archaeology.
- Early career researchers (within 7 years of PhD completion) of Black Identity or Heritage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven research excellence in archaeological practices, particularly with a focus on diverse and underrepresented perspectives.
- A strong academic track record, including publications and a well-defined research agenda.
Fellowship Benefits
- Visa Sponsorship: Available for international candidates (subject to eligibility).
- Salary: £37,174-£45,413
- Relocation Support: Up to £2,500 for relocation costs.
- Training and Research Support: Up to £5,000 for training and research costs to be spent during the fellowship year.
- D.M. McDonald Grants: Opportunity to apply for up to £5,000 p.a. for three years after the fellowship.
- Return Visit to Cambridge: Eligibility for £2,500 expenses for one return visit to Cambridge.
- College Post-Doctoral Associate Position: Opportunity to take up a CPD at Jesus College during the fellowship year.
