Eligibility and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Crisis Governance, Disaster Management, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Strong academic publication record
- Experience in university-level teaching
- Excellent proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interdisciplinary teaching and research experience
- Experience in course and curriculum development
- Willingness to learn Dutch
- University Teaching Qualification (UTQ/BKO) or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated engagement with policy or societal stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate programs
- Developing and delivering new courses in crisis and safety governance
- Supervising BA and MSc theses or capstone projects
- Conducting high-quality, peer-reviewed research
- Applying for research grants and participating in collaborative projects
- Contributing to academic administration and team development
