Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology or equivalent
- Fieldwork experience in cave and/or rock shelter excavations
- Fluency in French and English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience related to Late Pleistocene in Western Europe
- Willingness to work within a geoscience and natural history institution
- German language skills (a plus)
- Experience in public science communication and exhibition curation
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct internationally recognized research rooted in regional archaeological heritage
- Develop and secure third-party research funding
- Teach and supervise Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students
- Develop and participate in academic courses with a practical component
- Contribute to public engagement, exhibitions, and cultural mediation at JURASSICA
