Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Completed PhD (or recently completed) in Ancient History, Classical Philology, or Classical Archaeology
- Certified Graecum and Latinum
- Excellent command of German and English (C1 level)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in research aligned with the August Boeckh Visiting Professorship
- Knowledge of other modern scholarly languages
- Teaching experience at the university level
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to research in Classical Studies within the DFG prize framework
- Support the preparation of third-party funding applications
- Conduct and publish independent research
- Deliver teaching equivalent to 2 SWS (semester hours per week)
