About Position/Job
The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the School of Materials Engineering. The research project, supervised by Prof. Anagh Bhaumik, focuses on the synthesis and structure-property correlations of heavily doped carbon-based and 2D materials aimed at manufacturing multifunctional electronic devices. This role is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of a new synthesis-to-device laboratory and cleanroom facility at one of India’s premier institutes.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Materials Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Electrical Engineering
- Candidates who have submitted their dissertation may also apply
- Minimum 60% from Graduation onwards, 55% in Class 10th & 12th
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in thin film deposition (PLD, HFCVD, PECVD, Sputtering)
- Hands-on with XRD, SEM, TEM, EBSD, Raman-PL
- Familiarity with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Origin
- Electronic device fabrication experience (solar cells, ferroelectrics)
- Strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Research on synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials
- Development of electronic devices using advanced materials
- Establishing lab and cleanroom setup with Prof. Bhaumik
- Documentation and publication of research outcomes
