The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is inviting applications for a Junior Professor Chair in Paleo-environments and Pleistocene and Holocene Populations. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Proven research experience in geology, geoarchaeology, or environmental science
Preferred Qualifications:
- International research profile with experience in high-resolution temporal analysis
- Expertise in sedimentology, geochronology, bioindicators, and GIS
- Strong publication record and experience in supervising students
- Ability to initiate collaborative national and EU-funded projects
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-level research in Quaternary paleoenvironmental studies
- Collaborate with French and international institutions
- Teach in university programmes linked to the research
- Supervise and mentor graduate and postgraduate students
- Contribute to open science and public dissemination initiatives
- Apply for European research funding (ERC, Horizon Europe, etc.)
