About Position/Job

The Institute of Archaeology in Zagreb, Croatia, invites applications for the position of Associate Assistant within the HRZZ project “Transforming the Adriatic Cosmos: Insularity, Connectivity and Glocal Identities of Pre-Roman Dalmatia” (UIP-2020-02-2419). This full-time, five-year position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge archaeological research while pursuing a doctoral thesis. The project focuses on the study of ceramic materials and amphorae from Pharos and Epetium in the final centuries BC, exploring connectivity, insularity, and identity in Pre-Roman Dalmatia. Candidates will work closely with senior researchers, gain hands-on fieldwork experience, and contribute to interdisciplinary archaeological studies. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Archaeology or Humanities
  • Excellent academic record ensuring doctoral enrolment eligibility

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Awards or recognitions for academic excellence
  • Experience in archaeological field research
  • Knowledge of ceramic analysis and documentation
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD for draft documentation
  • Active knowledge of foreign languages
  • Participation in research, publications, or conference presentations
