The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb is inviting applications for an Assistant position in Archaeology. As part of this archaeology research position, the selected applicant will engage with scientific activities associated with the project while supporting research initiatives within the department. Candidates should demonstrate a strong academic background in Medieval Archaeology and meet the requirements for admission to a PhD programme in Archaeology.
Preference will be given to applicants with experience in archaeological documentation and practical knowledge of AutoCAD and QGIS software. These skills are particularly relevant for archaeology research projects involving documentation management, spatial analysis, and the organisation of archaeological data within academic research settings.

Eligibility/ Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Master’s degree in Archaeology with an emphasis on Medieval Archaeology
- Eligibility for admission to a PhD programme in Archaeology
- Compliance with requirements prescribed by the Science and Higher Education Act
- Evidence of academic achievement relevant to Archaeology
- Proof of citizenship
- Advanced Croatian language proficiency for foreign citizens
- Recognition of foreign qualifications by Croatian authorities where applicable
- Experience with archaeological documentation is advantageous
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous
- Experience using QGIS software is advantageous
