The GATES (Grenoble ATtractiveness and ExcellenceS) International Excellence in the Humanities Programme invites applications for the 2026 Junior and Senior Research Fellowships at Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA). Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • A permanent contract or tenured academic position in the home institution
  • PhD degree (Doctorate awarded less than 10 years ago for Junior Fellows)
  • Affiliation to an institution outside France during the application and fellowship period

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional academic and research credentials
  • Strong international dimension to the project
  • Experience in using MaCI’s research facilities
