Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Classical Philology, Ancient Greek or Latin
- Teaching qualifications in Ancient Greek and Latin language and grammar
- Ability to teach Greek and Latin literature in original languages
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching Greek and Latin at all levels
- Experience supervising BA and MA students
- Pedagogical training (required for associate professor level)
- Willingness to teach in Danish within an agreed timeframe
Key Responsibilities
- Teach ancient Greek and Latin languages and literature
- Co-teach with colleagues across Classical Philology, Classical Studies, and related minors
- Participate in interdisciplinary teaching with archaeology
- Contribute to the academic environment of the department
- Prepare and deliver full curriculum content for Classical Philology programme
- Translate between Danish and Greek/Latin (after language acquisition, if necessary)
