The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) invites applications for the INSA Visiting Scientist Programme (VSP) 2025-26. This program provides scientists and faculty members from Indian academic and research institutions an opportunity to conduct advanced research or get specialized training at premier Indian research institutes and laboratories.

Location:

India (Specific host institution to be selected by the applicant)

Research Area:

Research projects across scientific disciplines that require specialized training, collaboration, or access to unique facilities at the host institution.

Eligibility/Qualification:

Scientists and faculty members affiliated with R&D organizations, universities, or affiliated colleges in India.
Applicants should not have availed the INSA Visiting Fellowship in the past year.

Job Description:

Conduct research at a premier Indian research institute.
Receive specialized training in a specific scientific technique.
Utilize advanced research facilities that are unavailable at the applicant’s parent institution.

Tenure:

Minimum one month to a maximum of six months.

Fellowship/Salary:

Monthly stipend of up to ₹30,000 (for accommodation, food, and incidental expenses).
Travel reimbursement from the parent institute to the host institution (as per government norms).

How to Apply:

Prepare Proposal – Submit a detailed work plan along with a bio-data highlighting research achievements.
Host Institution Consent – Obtain approval from the host institute and the concerned scientist.
Endorsement – Applications must be endorsed by the applicant’s parent institution.
