About the Programme

The Chair for Modern History at the University of Bern, led by Prof. Dr. Christof Dejung, invites applications for a fully funded PhD position in 19th and 20th century modern history. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Completed MA degree with excellent academic record
A well-developed and original PhD proposal (maximum 2,000 words)
Degree in Modern History or a closely related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

Research experience in one or more focus areas
Strong methodological and organisational skills
Advanced communication skills in German (desirable but not mandatory)
