About Position/Job

The CNRS Humanities & Social Sciences division is seeking a Contract Researcher(Postdoc) to join a dynamic Franco-Quebec research initiative: the Collective Research Chair on Contemporary Issues of Freedom of Expression (COLIBEX). Based at Sorbonne University’s CELLF Laboratory in Paris, this prestigious 2-year postdoctoral position focuses on investigating the intersections of censorship, artistic expression, and cultural production in contemporary contexts. The selected candidate will work closely with an international team, contributing to a transnational project with wide-reaching academic and societal impact.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctorate in the Humanities or related field

  • Familiarity with freedom of expression issues and/or cultural policies
  • Multilingual proficiency

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a personal research project on censorship and artistic creation
  • Collaborate with the COLIBEX co-holders and international teams
  • Publish findings in high-impact academic venues
  • Participate in conferences and collective publications
  • Support internal/external communication for COLIBEX
  • Engage with the CELLF laboratory activities
