About Position/Job
The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from highly motivated researchers for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the project titled “Precision Imaging across External and Internal Directed Cognition.” This is an interdisciplinary neuroscience research initiative focusing on EEG/fMRI-based cognitive analysis, covering domains like attention, working memory, social cognition, meditation, and more. The appointment is initially for six months and extendable based on performance.

Research Area

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD (or thesis submitted) in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or Psychology
- Minimum 60% marks from UG onwards; 55% in Class 10 and 12
- Strong programming experience in Python
- Good publication record in relevant domains
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EEG/fMRI experiment design and analysis
- Background in behavioural task design and repeated-measures paradigms
- Familiarity with neuroimaging data analysis (MRI, EEG, fMRI)
- Strong data handling and analytical skills
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement behavioural and neuroimaging experiments
- Collect longitudinal EEG/fMRI datasets
- Analyse dynamics of cognitive paradigms (e.g. attention, planning, meditation)
- Collaborate on multimodal data processing and interpretation
- Contribute to publication of high-impact scientific outputs
