About the Position
The University of Oxford invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position in Planetary Surfaces, based within the prestigious Atmospheric, Oceanic and Planetary Physics (AOPP) sub-department. The role is part of a cutting-edge project investigating Europa, Jupiter’s intriguing and geologically active moon. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Professor Carly Howett and contribute to understanding surface temperature variations and properties using remote sensing data and thermal models. The work aligns with global anticipation for the NASA Europa Clipper and ESA JUICE missions and offers the chance to improve model accuracy via experimental work in a new ice laboratory. This is a fixed-term, full-time post offering a stimulating environment within one of the world’s leading research universities.
