About the Position
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) invites applications for the position of Project Research Scientist in the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Postgraduate in any discipline or Life Sciences with at least 5 years of experience in government research labs
OR - PhD in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised government institute, with wet lab experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Practical expertise in liposome fabrication, microbial culture, molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology techniques
- Prior experience in biomedical research projects
Age Limit:
- Maximum 35 years (relaxable up to 5 years for experienced candidates from government research organisations)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform experimental work on drug repurposing using LipoNor
- Fabricate and characterise liposomes
- Conduct microbial cultures, biochemical assays, and molecular analyses
- Collaborate with project team on data interpretation and reporting
