The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) position for a Ministry of Science and Technology-funded project titled “Ion exchanged nanoporous geopolymer for liquid-solid heterogeneous reactions of industrial relevance.” This short-term but intensive role focuses on research in organic synthesis, nanotechnology, and heterogeneous catalysis, aligning with IITGN’s interdisciplinary approach to cutting-edge scientific innovation. Candidates with experience in organic chemistry, synthesis techniques, and NMR will be prioritized.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Strong hands-on experience in organic synthesis
Proficiency in NMR data interpretation
Research experience in nanomaterials or catalytic systems

Key Responsibilities

Conduct synthesis of organic compounds for liquid-solid heterogeneous systems
Perform NMR interpretation and structural analysis
Assist in development of nanoporous geopolymer materials
Prepare scientific reports and publications
