About the Position
Wake Forest University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropological Archaeology within the Department of Anthropology. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Anthropology (ABD candidates may also apply).
- Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses in archaeology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Evidence of teaching excellence and student mentorship.
- Experience in field- or lab-based research.
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and engagement with interdisciplinary programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in archaeology, including Introduction to Archaeology.
- Deliver specialised courses in North American Archaeology or the candidate’s research area.
- Engage in student mentorship and academic advising.
- Contribute to the department’s interdisciplinary research and collaborations.
- Participate in departmental activities and promote a vibrant learning environment.
