iBRIC-inStem, an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is inviting applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow position in Bangalore, under the mentorship of Dr. Srinivasrao Repudi. The institute specializes in molecular biology, biochemistry, and neurobiology, with a focus on stem cell research and regenerative medicine.

This role is ideal for researchers with experience in cloning, CRISPR-Cas9 technology, and culturing neural stem cells. As a Post Doctoral Fellow, you’ll work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team to address complex questions in stem cell biology and develop real-world medical applications.

  • Job Type: Contractual, 11 months (Renewable based on performance and grant requirements)
  • Salary: ₹58,000/- + 27% HRA per month (₹42,000/- + 27% HRA for thesis submitted candidates)
  • Age Limit: Below 35 years
  • Qualification: PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Neurobiology, or related fields. Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis are also eligible to apply.
  • Experience: Strong experience in cloning, FACS, CRISPR-Cas9 technology, primary neural stem cell culture, and immunofluorescence. Strong publication record in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Neurobiology will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level research in stem cell biology, neurobiology, and regenerative medicine.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to answer complex biological questions.
  • Perform cloning, cell culture, FACS, and neurobiology experiments.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:
    • PhD (or thesis submitted) in relevant fields such as Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Cell Biology, or Neurobiology.
    • Strong experience with techniques such as CRISPR-Cas9, cloning, FACS, and culturing neural stem cells.
    • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary research environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • A solid publication record in relevant research areas.
    • Prior experience in neurobiology, molecular biology, or regenerative medicine.
