About the Position
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for a Research Associate position in a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. This project focuses on understanding the mechanistic basis of specific glutathionylation mediated by the yeast glutathione S-transferase, GTT1. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant area with research experience in yeast molecular biology.
- Candidates who have submitted their PhD thesis and are awaiting the viva voce examination are also eligible to apply.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques in yeast systems.
- Familiarity with glutathione S-transferases or post-translational modifications.
- A strong publication record is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research related to the mechanisms of glutathionylation in yeast.
- Perform laboratory experiments and data analysis.
- Collaborate with the PI and research team on project objectives.
- Prepare scientific reports and contribute to publications.
