About Position/Job

The Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the temporary position of Research Associate. The role is part of a DRDO-CARS sponsored project focused on cutting-edge research in semiconductor halide perovskite crystals for gamma radiation detection. The position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to advanced materials chemistry research, aligning with the New Chemistry Unit’s goals to develop innovative solutions in radiation detection.

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry (Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis can also apply)
  • Minimum of two research papers published in Science Citation Index (SCI) journals
  • Age limit: 35 years

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in synthesis of inorganic and hybrid halide materials
  • Experience in single crystal growth and solving crystal structures
  • Extensive research experience in the field of Materials Chemistry
