About the Position/Job

The DST-Mahamana Centre of Excellence for Climate Change Research at Banaras Hindu University invites applications for various research and non-research positions. These positions are available under the National Mission for Strategic Knowledge on Climate Change (NMSKCC), DST. This initiative offers the opportunity to work on vital climate change research, with the potential to register for a PhD for eligible candidates.

Age Limit: As per DST rule (age relaxation as per GOI norms)
Required Degree/Diploma: Postgraduate Degree, Ph.D. in relevant fields (see position-specific details)

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

For JRF: Master’s degree (60% in relevant fields like Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Environmental Science, etc.)
For SRF: JRF qualification with 2 years of research experience
For RA: Ph.D. in relevant fields (Atmospheric Sciences, Earth System Science, etc.)
For Research Scientist: Ph.D. in Science/Technology with experience in climate modelling or related areas

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in computer programming (HPC, GRADS, GIS, MATLAB, R)
Experience in climate change, ecological modelling, or water resource management

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research in climate change, atmospheric sciences, and related fields
Use and develop models for climate change impact studies
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
Collaborate with team members and mentor junior researchers
