The National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), an apex training and capacity-building institution under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, invites applications for the post of Assistant Professor on a deputation (including short-term contract) basis. Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Officers from Central/State Government, UTs, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organizations, or fully funded Institutes/Universities.
  • Holding an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre.
  • Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in Social Sciences/Environmental Science/Earth Science/Engineering/Disaster Management or allied subjects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • M.Phil or Ph.D. in relevant disciplines.
  • Contribution to curriculum design, innovation in education, and technology-mediated teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct teaching and training programs in disaster management.
  • Design and develop new courses and training modules.
  • Undertake research and publish in the field of disaster management.
  • Collaborate with national and international agencies for capacity-building programs.
  • Provide policy input and expert advice on disaster risk reduction.
