About Position/Job

Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD (or equivalent) in Classics or Ancient History
  • Demonstrated expertise in Roman archaeology and material culture
  • Ability to design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
  • Excellent communication and student engagement skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching at both UG and PG levels
  • Commitment to inclusive teaching practices
  • Willingness to work towards Fellowship of the HEA
  • Record of outreach or engagement activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver teaching across UG and MA modules
  • Engage students using varied teaching methods
  • Contribute to departmental goals and inclusive education initiatives
  • Support module coordination and assessment
