Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD in Archaeology or closely related discipline
  • Professional research experience in archaeological science, including biomolecular archaeology, bio-geochemistry, or geoarchaeology
  • Proven record of delivering teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels
  • Evidence of published research in peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in obtaining peer-reviewed research funding

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supervising postgraduate research students
  • Ability to develop teaching modules and enhance the curriculum

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative research aligned with department and university strategies
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and develop course content for undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Supervise and mentor postgraduate research students
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and improve student employability
  • Lead applications to external funding bodies for research grants
