Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Archaeology or closely related discipline
- Professional research experience in archaeological science, including biomolecular archaeology, bio-geochemistry, or geoarchaeology
- Proven record of delivering teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate levels
- Evidence of published research in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience in obtaining peer-reviewed research funding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in supervising postgraduate research students
- Ability to develop teaching modules and enhance the curriculum
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research aligned with department and university strategies
- Deliver high-quality teaching and develop course content for undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Supervise and mentor postgraduate research students
- Contribute to interdisciplinary projects and improve student employability
- Lead applications to external funding bodies for research grants
