About Position/Job
The Department of Physics at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-funded project focused on the development of quantum dots-based UV photodetectors. This is a temporary research position offering exposure to cutting-edge material science and nanotechnology. The selected fellow will work under the supervision of Prof. Sanjay Kumar Srivastava and contribute to nationally significant scientific innovation.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- M.Sc. in Physics with at least 55%
- Qualified NET/GATE examination
- Upper age limit: 28 years (relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/female/physically handicapped)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Research experience in quantum dot-based photodetectors or related areas
- SC/ST candidates as per Government of India rules
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experimental research on UV photodetectors using quantum dots
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting under project guidelines
- Regular documentation and communication with the Principal Investigator
- Contribute to academic publications and presentations
