Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemistry with relevant experience in experimental or numerical simulation of coal-gasification reactor systems.
- Strong academic record and excellent writing/communication skills.
- Publications in Scopus-indexed journals or reputable international conferences preferred.
- No publications in predatory journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postdoctoral experience related to coal gasification is desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, procurement, installation, assembly, and testing of a fluidized bed bench-scale gasifier optimized for low-grade high ash coal gasification.
- Development of multiphase reacting flow CFD models of the coal gasification process using ANSYS FLUENT.
- Working independently and collaboratively; mentoring Master’s and PhD scholars.
- Preparation of reports, writing articles and patents, lab inventory management.
- Implementing research outcomes at TRL5/6 scale.
