About the Fellowship
The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites early-career scholars and researchers from ASEAN member countries to apply for the prestigious NUS Fellows Programme (Southeast Asia) for the 2025 cycle. This fully funded research fellowship offers a unique opportunity to conduct collaborative research in a vibrant, interdisciplinary academic environment in Singapore. Designed to strengthen regional academic ties and build future leaders in Southeast Asia, the fellowship enables scholars to engage in meaningful, impactful research aligned with global and regional priorities. Fellows will work closely with world-class faculty at NUS while accessing extensive institutional resources, training programmes, and professional development events. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Citizenship or current residency in an ASEAN member country
- PhD (or Master’s with exceptional record)
- No more than 10 years of post-PhD research experience
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Endorsement from a host professor at NUS
- Institutional support from current university or research centre
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong publication record
- Prior academic or research collaborations
- Clear research proposal aligned with host PI’s expertise
- Female applicants are strongly encouraged
Not Eligible:
- Applicants with more than 10 years of post-PhD research experience
- Non-ASEAN citizens or residents

Key Responsibilities

- Co-develop a research proposal and obtain their in-principle approval
