About the Fellowship
The Zayed National Museum Research Fellowship offers an exciting opportunity for global scholars to explore the rich history, heritage, and legacy of the United Arab Emirates. Honouring the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, this fully funded scheme supports impactful research in archaeology, history, cultural studies, and intangible heritage. Scholars are encouraged to develop projects that deepen the understanding of the UAE’s past and its connections across the region. This fellowship strengthens the UAE’s role as a hub for cultural and academic excellence, fostering new collaborations and advancing international scholarship. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in a relevant field
- Open to all nationalities
- A strong research proposal aligned with the stated themes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous research experience in Middle Eastern or Gulf studies
- Record of publications or fieldwork
- Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration
