About Position/Job
Harvard University’s Mahindra Humanities Center invites applications for several one-year postdoctoral fellowships in Environmental Humanities for the academic year 2026–27. These prestigious fellowships are open to scholars from across the humanities whose work creatively engages with themes such as climate change, biodiversity, environmental and food justice, regenerative practices, urban foraging, health, landscape, and animal studies. Fellows will pursue their independent research projects while also participating in the Center’s bi-weekly seminars, the Environment Forum, and interdisciplinary collaborations with faculty, graduate students, and visiting scholars. The fellowship offers a $70,000 stipend, health insurance, $2,500 in research support, and relocation assistance, with full residency at Harvard required. Eligible applicants must hold a PhD (awarded after May 2023) or have completed all degree requirements by August 2026.
