About Position/Job
The University of Montpellier seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher in Tropical Volcanic Aquifers to join the HYTAKE team at HydroSciences Montpellier (HSM). Under the supervision of Dr P. Lachassagne, the postholder will build and calibrate numerical flow and transport models to investigate how water flows through volcanic aquifer systems in tropical regions. The role encompasses real-world field sites in locations like Indonesia and Mayotte, combining hydrological data analysis, modelling, and climate-change scenarios. This fixed-term contract, supported by Horizon Europe, offers a rare chance to contribute to internationally relevant hydrological science within a multidisciplinary, critical-zone research environment.
