About Position/Job

The University of Jyväskylä, through its Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Sustainable Rural Futures project. This full-time, fixed-term position is based in the Department of History and Ethnology and will commence no later than 8 August 2026. The role focuses on interdisciplinary research across history, ethnology, anthropology, and cultural studies, addressing long-term rural development, cultural change, and societal sustainability. The project contributes to understanding historical and contemporary rural transformations, aligning closely with the faculty’s mission of socially impactful humanities research.   • Strong academic writing and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
