About Position/Job
CNRS – National Center for Scientific Research, France, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Environmental Sciences at the Centre de Recherche et d’Enseignement des Géosciences de l’Environnement (CEREGE) in Aix-en-Provence, France. This full-time, temporary position (35 hours/week) is open to recognised researchers (R2) with a background in chemistry, geosciences, or environmental sciences.
The position focuses on the ecodesign of hybrid nanopesticides using biopolymers and metals, produced via biosynthesis or green synthesis, to develop targeted, environmentally safe pesticides. The research integrates indoor aquatic mesocosm experiments, chemical analyses (ICP-AES, ICP-MS), structural and physicochemical analyses (XRD, XANES, EXAFS, DLS, zeta potential), microbial monitoring, and behavioural studies of aquatic invertebrates.
The researcher will join the Sustainable Environment group at CEREGE, contributing to the ANR ORGANIC project, conducting experiments, analysing data, and disseminating results. This position provides a unique opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research, explore nanoparticle-environment interactions, and advance sustainable agricultural solutions in Europe.
