Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Forestry, or related field with statistical modelling expertise
- Strong programming skills, especially R
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of regression modelling, statistical hypothesis testing, and Monte Carlo methods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in forest inventory and modelling techniques
- Prior scientific publishing in statistics, forest science, or remote sensing
- Fluency in Finnish is an advantage
- Willingness to collaborate internationally
Key Responsibilities
- Develop statistical approaches to quantify forest structure and composition
- Perform Monte Carlo simulations and statistical analysis of field and remote sensing data
