Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Citizen of Japan, India, Australia, or the U.S.A., or
5+ years of strong professional experience in one of these countries - Holding a Ph.D. or a Master’s degree with minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Proposal must involve multi-country research (at least two countries apart from base country)
- Fellowship tenure must include:
- At least 50% time in Japan for non-Japan-based fellows, or
- Time in one of the other three countries for Japan-based fellows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven research experience with publications
- International collaboration background
- Policy or fieldwork experience in the Indo-Pacific context
Not Eligible:
- Proposals based in only one country
- Applicants without required educational or professional experience
