Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD awarded on or after 2 April 2020, or imminent (within 2 years)
- Non-Japanese nationals from countries with diplomatic relations (including Taiwan, Palestine)
- Not residing in or citizen of Japan at application
- Not previously awarded a JSPS fellowship (P, PE, PU, PA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong publication record
- Prior international or collaborative research experience
- Capacity to engage actively with Japanese host and research teams
Not Eligible:
- Japanese citizens or permanent residents
- Applicants already holding JSPS fellowships
