The Centre for Lifelong Learning at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, invites applications for the position of Project Coordinator for Project UMANG – Emotional Safety in Classrooms. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree or PG Diploma in Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling Psychology, or Mental Health
- At least 3 years of experience in content development, teacher training, program coordination, and stakeholder networking
- Proficiency in English and Hindi (spoken and written)
- Strong skills in training delivery, data analysis, evaluation, and report writing
- Comfortable with hybrid (online + offline) modules
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in school or classroom-based settings
- Familiarity with evaluation tools and mental health-related educational interventions
- Experience in using digital platforms for teaching and data collection
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day operations of Project UMANG
- Design and deliver teacher training modules (online and offline)
- Conduct research and contextualize training to the local setting
- Facilitate support sessions and evaluations (baseline, midterm, endline)
- Liaise between TISS and stakeholders
- Monitor participant progress, collect data, and prepare reports
- Visit schools to support and supervise project implementation
- Manage documentation, finances, and communication for the project
- Assist project leaders with assigned academic and administrative tasks
