Eligibility & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completed Master’s degree or equivalent in Linguistics, Phonetics, or related fields
  • Good knowledge of phonetics and phonology
  • Experience analyzing spoken language data
  • Very good German and English language skills (minimum B2 level)
  • Independent and precise scientific work with strong writing and presentation skills
  • Basic statistics knowledge
  • Willingness to travel internationally for data collection

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest or background in neurolinguistics
  • Knowledge of French, Italian, and/or Turkish
  • Motivation for pursuing a doctoral degree in L2 acquisition

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and implementation of spoken language data collection
  • Coordination of data collection across partner laboratories
  • Metrophonetic analysis of vowel sounds
  • Presentation and publication of research findings
  • Participation in research group events
  • Data collection trips abroad (France, Italy, Turkey)
