The School of Global Development at the University of East Anglia (UEA) is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support social science research within the MARBEFES project, focusing on the social and cultural dimensions of European seas and coastal ecosystems. Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant research field
- Demonstrated ability to conduct independent academic research
- Understanding of social and cultural aspects of marine and coastal environments
- Evidence of inclusive engagement with diverse communities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior involvement in European-funded projects
- Experience in interdisciplinary marine or environmental studies
- Proven record of academic publications
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse social science datasets related to European marine ecosystems
- Collaborate with the MARBEFES project team and UEA lead
- Develop research outputs for academic and public dissemination
- Engage with stakeholders and community partners
