About the Position
The University of Oxford invites applications for a Senior Research Fellow in Environmental Economics as part of the prestigious Oxford EARTH Initiative (OxEARTH) — Ensuring equitable Access to sustainable Resources for a Thriving Habitat. Based in the Life and Mind Building (LaMB), this five-year fellowship focuses on addressing the global challenges of sustainable natural resource management and the ecological impacts of mining essential for achieving Net Zero. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research integrating biodiversity, ecology, conservation science, and environmental economics. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence sustainability policy and scientific understanding while working in one of the world’s leading research environments.

Eligibility & Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

- Experience with interdisciplinary research connecting ecological and economic frameworks.
- Strong record of collaboration and leadership in research projects.
- Ability to contribute to teaching and departmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research on sustainable resource management.
- Evaluate biodiversity and environmental impacts of mining and natural resource use.
- Publish findings in high-impact journals and engage in collaborative projects.
- Support the teaching and mentoring of students in environmental and economic sustainability.
- Contribute to OxEARTH’s mission of equitable resource access and ecological resilience.
