About the Program
The Centre de Recherche sur la Biodiversité et l’Environnement (CRBE) at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) is inviting applications for a fully funded PhD position on “Water in the Mountains: A Health Issue” within the ARTEMIS project. Starting in December 2025, this three-year doctoral position explores the interconnected challenges of water quality, tourism, and pastoralism in the French Pyrenees, framed through the OneHealth approach linking environmental, human, and animal health. Under the supervision of Dr. Adeline Loyau and a multidisciplinary team, the PhD researcher will combine fieldwork, interviews, ecological sampling, and systems modelling to understand and promote sustainable adaptation strategies for mountain ecosystems. This project offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge, interdisciplinary environmental research with real-world impact.
