About Position/Job
The French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in forest fuel and wildland fire modelling at the Climat, Environnement, Couplages et Incertitudes (CECI) laboratory, located in Toulouse, France. This fully funded, full-time position is part of the ECOFEU project, which studies how forest dieback and vegetation changes affect wildfire dynamics under climate change. The postdoc will work under the supervision of Dr Mélanie Rochoux (CECI) and Dr Patrick Le Moigne (CNRM), combining satellite remote sensing, surface-atmosphere modelling, and fire-atmosphere interaction simulations to assess wildfire risks. The project aligns with CNRS’s goals in environmental science and climate change research, and offers opportunities for collaboration with CESBIO, Météo-France, CNES, and INRAE, providing an interdisciplinary research environment with advanced modelling and field observation integration.
